Battle Bunnies

Motion Design

I present to you my first anticipated Motion Design Project ever, called “Battle Bunnies” !

It is a short one minute animation about a fight between 2 magical girls and an evil wolf Monster.

Since my favorite magical girl Anime of all time happens to be “Tokyo Mew Mew”, where the Costumes are themed after specific animals, I decided to take inspiration from that and theme my Girls after fluffy cute white Bunnies!

In the Beginning I really wanted to go for a flower-like feeling, next to the puffy clothes but I had to scratch the idea of excessive details on the characters since the animation was already going to be very time consuming and adding small details to the designs would have increased the time expenditure.

Instead I went for puffy white Clothes with colored stripes here and there aswell as glittery stockings for each member of the Battle bunnies to show some connection but also help the viewer to distinguish the two girls from each other when it comes to their clothes.
